Overview
Hong Phong 5.2 solar power plant was built in Hong Phong commune, Bac Binh district, Binh Thuan province. The total DC installed capacity is 48 MWp, equivalent to an AC capacity of 40.25 MW. The plant was energized for commercial operation on December 29, 2020.

The history and development
The Hong Phong 5.2 solar power plant was built with a capacity of 48 MWp and a voltage of 110 kV, and it is directly connected to the grid.
Bac Binh, Binh Thuan province, with harsh weather conditions and no green plants can grow. As one of the few species of trees that can withstand harsh climates, Acacia leaves, a desert plant, have even become the highlight of this area and attract the attention of a large number of young tourists when they come to Binh Thuan.
With the same uniqueness, Hong Phong 5.2 stands out among BB Power Holdings’ factories in terms of efficiency, with capacity exceeding design output (101%) in 2021.
Hong Phong 5.2 has achieved great success in Hong Phong commune, helping to create growth in the face of naturally adverse weather and terrain. The plant also strives to create a positive impact on the local community, create jobs, and improve living conditions for local people.
Besides the goal of adding clean energy to the national power system and provides the electricity of the power system in general and Binh Thuan province in particular, Hong Phong 5.2 also has a big goal as the first solar power plant in Vietnam contributed to creating the premise and basis for the development of clean solar energy.
